Fascinating place to eat. A very unique experience. Best eggs benedict in Seward. Open business hours mostly for breakfast and lunch. Very limited seating because of its unique structure i.e. an old railroad car.
Smothered smoked chicken and goat cheese burrito with black beans and small salad
Lovely little breakfast spot in an old Alaskan train wagon. It’s a small, comfy place run by lovely people. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. I had the Snow Crab Benedict which I would definitely recommend. 🤤 The Carmelitas looked class as well. 👌🏼😊
Absolutely amazing food! Best breakfast place in Seward. The staff is super nice and welcoming.
Most delicious eggs Benedict! Service is great and the restaurant is in an old train. It is right on the marina and I saw 3 bald eagles while sitting outside! You can see the water and beautiful mountains while enjoying a meal. Beautiful place to start your day.
Good breakfast burritos. Cute little train car collection.
I tried the Poached Eggs Benedict, it was good.
You may have to wait, especially if the train has just shown up. Then expect a little wait for the food.Food was fine, nothing spectacular. On the Cuban, the mustard has horseradish, a lot, prepare your sinuses. Not a bad place though, little pricey, but it is Alaska after all.
The food here is amazing! You can sit inside the train car or outside in the patio area.
Must be seasonal. It’s not open like your page says.
Best Egg Benedict in Seward! Real thick pieces of ham, perfect poached egg, and the hollandaise sauce is spot on with a little spiciness to it. Keep it up, Smoke Shack Crew!!
Small indoor space. Plenty of tables outside if it is warm enough. Food was overpriced and very badly cooked. Home fries were nearly raw. Waitress was nice but working the entire place alone. So service was really slow to almost non-existent. Extremely bad. Will not go back.
Very unique train car dining and the chicken noodle soup was very good. The prices were a little high and the wait was a little long, but i think it was definitely worth it and would gladly go again.
Delicious food! Great service! Really cool atmosphere!
Excellent breakfast (every meal in, 2018, Seward seems to begin at 14$) for the price, especially when compared to other options I've tried in town!I would give this small cafe my money again.Open 8am-3pm, tourist season only.
Best breakfast burrito I've had in a long time.
Don't expect fancy, but food is good!
Amaaaazing breakfast, wow. The woman who served us was wonderful, and their jalepeno ketchup is outstanding. I'm glad I get to live here for 6 more months because I'll be coming here most of those days.
Food and service wasnt to bad. They need some type of ventilation to move air through the diner. Extremely hot on the day we went and did not make for a pleasant experience.
I was a bit disgusted at the fact that the cooks were handling our food with their bare hands. He's grabbing raw meat to toss onto the grill then wrapping my breakfast burrito. Hopefully I don't get sick
This quaint and quirky train car eatery has an amazing breakfast, and is a must stop for any breakfast lover that visits Seward Alaska. The coffee is delicious, and the portions are generous. The pancakes were delightfully fluffy, and the home fries and eggs were cooked to perfection. The wait staff was very friendly, but the place is small, so you should expect to wait, especially at normal breakfast and lunch times. If I ever find myself in Seward Alaska again (I hope I will), I will be sure to stop here for another wonderful breakfast.
The food was amazing. Enjoyed our breakfast experience here.
visited two times.line is created very early as the operation speed is not very fast.but it's worth of waiting as taste is damn good.Ihonestly i didnt expect i could have this quality mexican-american foods in alaska.must try if you visit seward.
The food was great, the flavor is really good. I had B&G and Eggs Benedict
Got the Easy going and a side of bacon... holy delicious-ness! Great breakfast!
Smoke Shack - Tasty Breakfast, Reasonably PricedLet Smoke Shack’s rail car restaurant transport you to a great breakfast. I had the Snow Crab Benedict with 2 crab cakes, 2 poached eggs, homemade hollandaise and home fries. Yummy! It’s cozy (code word for few tables inside) so arrive early if you don’t want to wait too long. Also, check the website for closed days. Props to our server Juno who made sure our coffee cups were never empty.
Not many seating so it was difficult accommodating our group of 5, but the prices were fair and food even better
If you want to eat inside an old Alaska Railroad train car then you found the restaurant.Seating is very limited in the train car, so you may find yourself eating outside at one of the few picnic tables. There is a restroom in the train car, but it is very small. The food is greasy, but you won't leave here hungry. The sauces are also very good, so be sure to try some. The drinks are served by the can, so if you order a Pepsi then you get a can of Pepsi. Not ice or cup here.
The food was incredible! They were on top of making sure coffee and waters were refilled. My breakfast was a little spicy and packed with flavor and everyone at the table loved their meals. Would definitely visit again!
Great service, great location, great food. I’m not saying the other places in town are bad but don’t waste your time eating breakfast anywhere else. Eggs Benedict comes highly recommended.
Unbelievable breakfast! Service was fast and the Benedict was amazing
Very excellent food. Have good breakfast selections and some type of smoked item is worked into all their lunch options. Place always smells excellent. The veggie burrito is very good and all the food have good portion sizes for the price.
Insane wait times, even when there’s no rush. Ordinary fare. Nope.
Great food! Be prepared to wait for a table. There are only 6-8 tables in the restaurant!
We had Breakfast. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was very good. The indoor seating is limited but a good place to go to.
Delicious food, friendly people and great service!
It was a cool experience eating in an old train!!
Slightly disorganized. Waited for our food for a while (45 minutes) and they totally forgotten one the meals. But they quickly made it and the food tasted good. Longer than I expected to be in the restaurant.
Cool place to have breakfast! Located next to the harbor in a repurposed train car. Got lucky to be able to find a table on a busy morning. Had full menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food was great for the price but came a little slow.
A little pricy but super fresh!! GREAT views of the harbor, and really friendly service. Would recommend!
Love the diner feel, yummy food, waited quite a long time though
Great service and my order of eggs Benedict was cooked just right.
Good food water never got empty
Eggs Benedict was amazing, Heuvos Rancheros was delicious as well
This place is literally the bomb. Com. So friendly, cool place and yummy food
Out of this world breakfasts!
Delicious food and excellent staff!
Good breakfast in an old train car
Unbelievable prices for what they offer. The crab benedict was perfectly prepared, moist crabcakes packed with flavor topped with a superbly poached egg and creamy hollandaise. Seriously the best of my life. We only had a 20 minute wait and it was well worth it.
Super cool to eat in a train! Very small and limited seating. We tried sitting outside but it was too cold. The food on the other hand the food was pretty good.
